Art Uptown Gallery is holding its 10th Annual Dog Days of Summer exhibition. It’s the hottest summer art exhibition in town and is open to area artists 21 and above. The gallery is located on lower Main Street. All art is for sale. An all media, all subjects exhibition; the opening reception is Friday, August 3 from 6-9pm. Exhibition runs July 28 – August 24, 2018. Juror Danny Olda has already chosen the 1st – 3rd place winners in the 2D and 3D categories as well as the 5 Honorable Mentions.
Susan’s piece from her label series, Inside Out -Urban Vibe – Traffic Congestion was accepted into the show. It was inspired by a trip to NYC. The 12 x 9″ composition was created using clothing labels turned inside out. Acrylic paint and canvas are the other media used to create a typical traffic congestion scenario in a big city.
